Executive Chef

Chef Steve Vranian started at Gianni’s in February of 2010 and immediately turned his attention to improving the quality of the ingredients that had fallen due to cost saving attempts of the 2007/09 economic recession. Today, Gianni’s features U.S.D.A. Prime Beef using a specially branded program created by Stockyards Meats in St Paul and Creekstone Farms. Steve’s philosophy is to use the best ingredients available, keep it simple and do not let the dish intimidate or interfere with the guest experience. He believes food should play in the background, welcoming and encouraging a superb dining experience. Steve also is the wine director achieving Wine Spectator’s Best Award of Excellence the past four years.
